Rachel & Julian’s Initial Wedding Vision
Rachel and Julian, your story began long before your engagement — growing up in the same hometown, crossing paths through the same schools, and eventually finding each other again in New York City after college. What once felt familiar grew into something deeper, built on trust, romance, and a shared sense of spontaneity.
For your wedding, you imagine a celebration that feels relaxed, elegant, and quietly luxurious. Nothing dramatic or overdone — just beauty that feels intentional, effortless, and warm.
You’ll be welcoming around 90 guests to Villa Cetinale, a setting chosen for its timeless charm and calm sophistication. The villa naturally sets the tone, allowing the celebration to feel refined yet intimate.
The weekend begins with a welcome dinner on September 11th— an Italian-style evening with pizza, aperitivo, shared tables, and easy conversation. Relaxed, joyful, and unpretentious.
The main celebration on September 12th is the heart of the weekend, with the ceremony and cocktail hour taking centre stage — meaningful, joyful, and beautifully considered.
The overall style is modern and understated, with a warm “old money” feeling. Soft, creamy neutrals form the base, layered with olive green, silver accents, and subtle touches of magenta-pink. Inspiration comes from food and natural elements — figs, grapes, olives, Negroni tones — with minimal florals, candlelight, texture, and food-forward details creating the atmosphere.
You imagine long banquet tables glowing with candlelight, live instrumental music during the ceremony and aperitivo, and a DJ carrying the energy into the evening. Most guests will be in their 30s, bringing a relaxed, vibrant energy, with special care taken around comfort and accessibility for close family.
Photography will be digital and film, with a candid, documentary approach focused on real moments and emotion. Beauty remains natural, refined, and effortless.
At its heart, your wedding is about intimacy, connection, and quiet beauty — a celebration that feels personal, timeless, and unmistakably yours.
So let the planning begin...
